Otago Hockey
Dunedin Weekly SS Competition
This is organised by the Otago Hockey Association. Entry
forms containing information are sent out in March. The draw for most
grades is completed a number of weeks in advance so it is important
that requests concerning unavailability and particular times to play
are received before the draw is started. Consideration has to be given
to teams, like South Otago High, who travel each week to play.
The Otago Hockey Umpires Assn normally tries and
supplies as many umpires for games as possible, with schools providing
a few umpires for the lower grades.
Playing Times
Mondays - Girls Premier, Division 2 and Division 3 are to
be played between 4pm and 9pm.
Tuesday - Boys Premier, Division 2 and Division 3 are to
be played between 4pm and 9pm.
Competition Format
Depending on entries, hopefully 2 rounds with semis and
finals at end of season.
Length of Season
2006 dates: Starting Monday 8th May (Girls) &
Tuesday 9th May (Boys). No games 5 June for Girls (Queen's Birthday).
Finishing 7th August (Girls) and 8th August (Boys).
Fixtures Duration Times and Costs
All grades are allocated 60min per game, 25 mins each
way, with 5 mins for half time.

The turf entry fees will again be charged at the start of the season
and will be based on $4 per game (fees capped at) 13 players per team,

you can contact OHA and apply for a refund.
